My name is Frannie Rochat, I am a yoga instructor and mom to 4 great kids! I am originally from Bronxville, NY. My husband, Andrew, our four children, and chocolate lab have lived in Rye for almost eighteen years. I opened a Hot Yoga studio: Bikram Yoga Rye Brook, located in the Rye Ridge shopping center.
My children are: Andrew 19, Lucie 17, Kate 16, Maisie 13
One thing people would be surprised to know about you… I used to be a corporate bond trader (which is probably why I do so much yoga now).
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood? There are so many people to thank for helping me through parenthood. First off – my husband, Andrew. He’s an amazing, involved and supportive dad and husband. My mother and sister helped tremendously with my children. I am thankful to so many friends in the Rye community, I could not even begin to express my gratitude. Raising children certainly takes a village and I feel very blessed and thankful for my village.

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share! I embarked on a business venture a year and half ago when I opened a Hot Yoga studio: Bikram Yoga Rye Brook, located in the Rye Ridge shopping center. I knew twenty years ago when I started practicing yoga that someday I would like to own a studio. After many years of intense training and teaching we found the right location and the stars aligned. My husband and children believed in me more than I ever believed in myself, I am so in awe of and appreciative to them for helping me to realize this dream. Thank you guys, love you!
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now? I would not be where I am today without the help from my community. Before opening a studio, I used to teach classes in the basement of my house, at local schools, and various yoga studios. My community gave me the love, support, and confidence to pursue a very intense 9 week teacher training. I had to go away for over two months (leaving my children and husband) to get certified to teach Bikram Yoga. The community was there for my kids: driving carpools, sending dinners, helping with homework, everything. I owe my family, friends, and loyal clients a tremendous debt of gratitude. I am so thankful for this community and the many wonderful people who have helped me along this journey.
