Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I am originally from Flushing, Queens and moved to Rye Brook 22 years ago.

I have twin girls — Laura and Rachel Lindstrom (22 years old). They both grew up in Rye Brook and went to Blind Brook schools.
Favorite things to do with your kids?
We all enjoy cooking together and taking summer vacations in Cape May, NJ.
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
When I moved to Rye Brook, I started a window treatment company with my good friend Robin Gagliardi. She was already an established decorator and referred her clients to me. Thanks to Robin and many other local decorators, my business has flourished. What started as a business in my home has grown into an expanded “brick and mortar” location that now offers upholstery, wallpaper, motorized shades, and of course – draperies, bedding and drapery hardware.

Let’s get back to the basics…how did you get involved in sewing?
When I was a little girl, I spent a lot of time with my grandmother who was a wedding dressmaker for Alfred Angelo. She was an exceptional seamstress and I learned so much from just watching her!
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
Something that people would be surprised to know about me is that for the last 4 years, I have been buying old homes and restoring them. I love it! There is so much creativity when you can work with a blank slate!
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
This community is very close knit and loves to support local businesses. I can’t thank my past and present clients enough and I look forward to helping spruce up homes for many years to come.
