Meet Rye Mom – Jacqueline Covello! We had a fun interview!!
Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I am a local Rye Mom who was born and raised in Miami Beach, moved to NYC in 2002, spent a few years in Old Greenwich, CT and then moved to Rye 6 years ago.
Children and Ages?
Hudson is 12 and Siena is 7
Favorite things to do with your kids?
I love working out with my kids, being in the pool, or at the beach. (I hibernate during the winter).
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I am a twin to a boy and my favorite past time is boxing.
What did you do in your career before you owned you own business?
Before I started Upstate Aura, I managed a few amazing wineries, Caymus and Robert Mondavi to just name a few.
How did you get into CBD?
A couple years back, my husband came home from a Colorado ski trip where he injured his back and was suggested to use a CBD cream. He brought home the cream and I started using it for my post workout aches and couldn’t believe how well it worked. I started to do research and educate myself and realized all of the benefits it has helped with adults, children, even pets! This all led to investing in a farm.
Tell us about the farm.
The farm is located on the northern border of the Catskills in NY. It used to be an organic vegetable farm so there are no pesticides in the soil for the last 8 years. In 2018, we pulled all the vegetables and planted hemp plants which we play music to daily…preferably Bob Marley!
What have you experienced as far as feedback goes with CBD users?
CBD is said to have multiple benefits that you can research on line. I get amazing feedback on how it has helped with headaches, sleep deprivation, arthritis, its also an anti-inflammatory as well. Just remember, everyone’s body is different so it is important to find you specific “sweet spot” so that you know you are taking the correct dosage.
What products do you produce?
I produced 300mg, 600mg, and 1200mg full spectrum organic tinctures and a 2000 mg organic cream. My CBD is USDA Certified Organic, Third party tested, Seed to Bottle -manufactured , Farmer Owned, Woman Owned and Eco-Friendly.

This community has been beyond supportive. I am extremely appreciative of everyone advocating for my company.
