Independence Day and all its festivities are just around the corner. However, not all of Westchester is saving their fireworks and celebrations for the Fourth of July. We’ve rounded up all the local celebrations for you to join in on leading up to, and including, the Fourth of July.
 

Town of Lewisboro Annual Fireworks Spectacular

Join the town of Lewisboro for their fireworks spectacular Saturday, June 30 (rain date July 7). Bring your family, friends, chairs, and blankets to Onatru Farm Park for an evening of fun. The fee is $20 per car with parking and picnicking starting at 6 p.m. Enjoy the excitement with entertainment starting at 7 p.m. and fireworks around 9:30 p.m.

Scarsdale Firework Spectacular

The town of Scarsdale presents its annual firework display on Monday, July 2 at the Scarsdale Pool Complex. The celebration will feature a performance by the Westchester Band at 7:30 p.m. with fireworks beginning at approximately 9:15. A $2 fee will be charged to all non-pool members entering the pool starting at 5 p.m. for the scheduled fireworks, then all individuals starting at 8 p.m.

White Plains Independence Day Celebration

Grab some family and friends and head to White Plains for a fun filled evening of entertainment. On Tuesday, July 3 from 6 to 9:30 p.m., you can join in on all the festivities. Anyone in attendance can enjoy giant inflatable rides, food, and fireworks, to celebrate the Fourth of July.

Fireworks & Concert Celebration

Celebrate Independence Day at the Cross County Shopping Center on Tuesday, July 3. The FDR Drive Band will perform a concert from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with a spectacular fireworks show to follow. Bring you friends, family, blankets, and chairs to The Green at the center of the mall to watch the concert. The fireworks display will be in the north parking lot, but you will be able to view them from anywhere in the mall. This event is completely free to the public too!

Pops, Patriots & Fireworks

Celebrate the Fourth of July a little early at the Caramoor Wednesday, July 4 at 8 p.m. (Concert rain or shine, fireworks rain date July 5.) The event will feature the Westchester Symphonic Winds performing classic songs from the Great American Songbook. The night will end with a bang with fireworks in the sky, as Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture swells. Tickets start at $30. Stop by the John Jay Homestead beforehand for their annual Independence Day Fair, featuring a reading of the Declaration of Independence, petting zoo, historic tours, and more!

Ossining Fireworks

Join the town of Ossining on Tuesday, July 3 for their fireworks event at the Louis Engel Waterfront Park. Start your Fourth of July holiday with live music and fireworks. Picnics are welcome while you watch the multiple bands perform (starting at 7:30 p.m.). Fireworks will start at approximately 9:15 p.m. Bring some chairs, family, and friends, and enjoy!

The Larchmont Recreation Committee is sponsoring relay races for children and adults Wednesday, July 4. The event will also provide sprinklers and refreshments for participants to cool down after the races. The event will start around 10 a.m.

Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department’s Carnival & Summer Nights on the Sound

Join the Mamaroneck Fire Department for their carnival Friday, June 29 through Saturday, July 7. The carnival opens at 6:45 p.m. at Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck. The carnival will open early at 4 p.m. on July 4, leading up to a fireworks display will take place over the Long Island Sound at dusk. This also kicks off Mamaroneck’s Summer Nights on the Sound” concert series, which has three more follow-up dates through the end of the month. The fire department will additionally hold their Independence Day parade on Monday, July 2 at 7 p.m. from Mamaroneck Avenue School to Harbor Island Park.

Mount Vernon Independence Day Celebration

St. Paul’s Church in Mount Vernon will be hosting a traditional Fourth of July celebration. The event will feature music, speeches, refreshments, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, and tolling of the historic St. Paul’s church bell. The festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. for anyone who would like to attend.

Kensico Dam Music Fest and Fireworks

Celebrate Independence Day at the Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla on Tuesday, July 3. Festivities will include live music and a stunning fireworks show. Pre-concert entertainment featuring DJ Johnny Rocks at 6 p.m. and the Gerard Carelli Orchestra at 8 p.m. Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. Admission and parking are free, but carpooling is suggested. Attendees should bring blankets, chairs, and a picnic to make the night spectacular.

West Point Band’s “Music Under the Stars”

The army’s oldest band will celebrate out independence at the Trophy Point Amphitheater on Saturday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m. Bring some chairs or a blanket, enjoy a nice evening picnic, and bask in some delightful music from all genres which culminates in a grad fireworks display over the Hudson.
