Greenwich United Way has partnered with Vineyard Vines, located at 145 Greenwich Avenue, to host an in-store shopping event. 20% of sales from the shopping event will support the organization’s annual campaign. On Sunday, October 1, from 12pm – 4pm, DJ Mizzy will entertain shoppers with music while they enjoy cupcakes courtesy of By the Way Bakery. The first 40 shoppers to spend more than $150 will each receive a one-time gift of 20 percent off at either Meli-Melo or Bistro Versailles during the month of October. Attendees can RSVP in advance for a chance to win a $300 Vineyard Vines gift card by visiting Greenwich United Way online!

This event will be the second family-friendly shopping event for Greenwich United Way sponsored by GreenwichMoms.com and Serendipity magazine. This first event was held at J. Crew last September. “New this year is a registration incentive. Attendees can enter their information through the Greenwich United Way website for a chance to win a $300 Vineyard Vines gift card,” said Layla Lisiewski, founder of GreenwichMoms.com. She continued, “Our goal is to direct traffic to the Greenwich United Way website to help raise awareness for the organization’s work in the community. We encourage Greenwich families to attend and show their support by making a purchase or a direct donation to the Greenwich United Way.”
The Greenwich Jr United Way (GJrUW), comprised of teens from Greenwich High School, Greenwich Academy, Brunswick and Greenwich Country Day School, will participate in the event with a fun trivia game. The Greenwich Jr United Way trivia game was created with information provided from the 2016 Needs Assessment Report and Executive Summary. This summer, Vineyard Vines created custom polos for the Greenwich Jr United Way to wear while volunteering in the community. Attendees will be able to identify the Greenwich Jr United Way teens as they will be wearing white Greenwich United Way polos at the event.
