Holiday Carving Demos: Just in time for Thanksgiving, Fleishers will show you how to carve and break down a chicken (or turkey). They’ll be doing demos at their Greenwich shop (160 E. Putnam Ave) Thursdays 11/9 and 11/16 from 3-5 pm, and at their Westport shop (580 Riverside Ave) Fridays 11/10 and 11/17 from 4-6 pm. Join in with your cooking questions and sample the rotisserie chicken!
Let’s do Thanksgiving with meat raised right! Fleishers Craft Butchery (Greenwich, Westport) is offering Thanksgiving turkeys which are pasture-raised, without growth hormones or unnecessary antibiotics, by farmers we know and trust. The result? An unforgettable meal, with a more flavorful turkey that’s better for you, your family, and the environment.
This year, Fleishers is offering broad-breasted white turkeys from Ekonk Hill (Moosup, CT). This is the classic American turkey, flavorful and with large breasts, raised to superior standards. They also have full-flavored heritage birds from BN Ranch (Bolinas, CA) and rare, black-feathered Kelly Bronze heritage birds from Kelly Bronze Farm (Crozet, VA). To complete the meal, you can also order turkey parts, turkey stock, sage sausage, and bacon to minimize your trips to the store.
Orders for whole turkeys require a non-refundable $60 deposit; the remaining balance will be paid at the time of pick up (Mon 11/20-Wed 11/22).
