Where: Rye Town Park Pavilion, 95 Dearborn Ave. Parking available in lot for $2 when you mention “Wiggleworm”.
Cost: $5.00 per family with Advance Registration. Walk-ins the day of are welcome: $10 per family.
Details: Come spend an informative, fun and educational morning under the pavilion at Rye Town Park with Monique Bosch (aka “The Worm Lady”). This will be a hands-on gardening and composting workshop suitable for all ages.
You will learn:
- ways to grow nutritious food at home with the focus on ‘healthy soil’.
- composting methods that turn your food waste into ‘black gold’ for your plants.
- worm composting, seed starting and gardening without chemical additives.
- how to grow your own edible garden by making a small planter to bring home.

The Mission of the Rye Town Sustainability Committee is to advocate for a more sustainable future through public participation and inter-municipal collaboration. The committee will educate Rye Town residents and develop policies that will assist community members to adopt more sustainable practices. This will reduce the Town of Rye’s carbon foot print and protect its natural beauty.
The Rye Sustainability Committee is a group of volunteers tasked by the City of Rye to implement the Rye Sustainability Plan and address significant environmental issues in our community.
