Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.  It is a day to focus on charitable giving during the holiday season. We have put together this list of local organizations where Rye and Rye Brook families can volunteer or donate on Giving Tuesday, throughout the holidays and beyond!



914Cares works to ensure our neighbors in need are cared for by collaborating, supporting and providing resources to local organizations, educating the community about poverty and encouraging actionable generosity.

Port Chester Friendly Fridge

Located at The Carver Center, the Port Chester Friendly Fridge is stocked with food. “Take what you need, leave what you don’t”.

Meals on Main Street

Our mission is to provide food, clothing, counseling and educational services for anyone in need in Port Chester, NY and the surrounding area.  We show respect for the dignity of each individual who seeks our assistance, with the goal of developing personal, economic and social opportunity for all those we serve.

Children’s Hope Chest

The mission of The Children’ s Hope Chest is to provide help and offer hope to children in our community suffering from poverty, abuse, neglect and illness.

Feeding Westchester

The Sharing Shelf

The Sharing Shelf is Westchester’s Clothing Bank for Children founded to  combat clothing insecurity among low-income children and families in our community and meet basic material needs such as socks, underwear, diapers, period products, and toiletries.
