Our local shops and small businesses have been hit hard this year in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s more critical than ever for us to support our local economy. hometownlove is a small local wood sign business created by two crafty Rye moms – Dawn Pineault & Therese Karl. We met many years ago when our oldest daughters attended Rye Methodist Nursery School (which sadly closed a few years back).
In January of 2018, we were talking about how much we love Rye and know that our neighbors do too! With that in mind, we created a few Rye zip code signs and hometownlove was a go. Through word-of-mouth, orders started coming in. Once our Instagram Page was created, things really took off.
While still making zip code signs (we’ve ventured outside of Rye), we now make signs for all occasions. We love collaborating with clients to make that special sign with that hometown feel!
hometownlove has also been involved in the Rye Community, donating signs and proceeds to local organizations including: Rye Girls Softball, Rye Little League, The Rye YMCA, Rye Historical Society, The Rye Arts Center, Children’s Philanthropy and many more.
